  1. Rated voltage: Generally, it is AC 450/750V.
  2. Operating temperature: The long-term allowable operating temperature of the core is usually not more than 65°C (some standards stipulate not more than 60°C).
  3. Conductor:
    • Conductor material: Mostly soft bare copper wire is used. It has high purity, strong electrical conductivity, low resistance, and good flexibility. It is convenient for laying and using the cable. The elongation is usually between 15% and 25%.
    • Conductor structure: There are different core specifications, such as single-core and multi-core structures. Commonly there are 1 core, 2 cores, 3 cores, 4 cores, 5 cores, etc., to meet different electrical connection needs.
  4. Insulation material: Rubber insulation is adopted, which has good insulation performance and flexibility and can ensure the safe use of the cable in different environments.
  5. Sheath material:
    • Generally, it is a rubber sheath. For some YCW cables, special ingredients may be added to the sheath to enhance its weather resistance and oil resistance, and it is suitable for outdoor or oil-contacting occasions.
    • For some occasions with special requirements, other materials of sheath may be used.
